First of all download and install “DDPB” via DDPB website and also we assume that you already have .bar app. It can be any, in this tutorial i will use “Dropbox.bar”.

First activating Developer mode in your Blackberry Playbook

Click(Touch) the setting button on the top right side then you will get the options like About, Airplane Mode, Wi-Fi. Now select “Security” and Select “Development Mode”. Activate the Development mode by selecting “ON” in Use Development Mode. (Confused then see the screenshot below).

Then you will be promoted to enter password with message “Password Required”. Here enter your chosen password and remember it, we will need it later.

After activating the development mode you will see the new icon in your status bar as in the screenshot below. Now our Playbook is ready to install Apps on it also remember the IP address which is “192.168.0.100″ for me now. So now we move towards next part.

Finally installing .bar apps to your Blackberry Playbook via Computer

I think you have already installed “DDPB” in your computer as mentioned above. So now connect your Device to your computer via cable then open “DDPB”. I hope you have done it correctly.

After opening “DDPB”, you will see the window something like this in the screenshot below. Here we need to enter the Playbook IP Address which is 169.254.0.1 by default. Enter the IP address manually or simply click “Scan button” then IP address will  automatically appear.

Remember and enter the password you have setup before and finally click on “Connect” then you will be connected to your device. If you are getting some sort of error then it might be caused because the device is not properly connected. So, to avoid this carefully connect the device.

On the top right side you will see “Add(A)”, by clicking it add some “.bar” file. After selecting all the Apps to be installed select them all and click on “Install(I)”.

You will see the windows showing the process to install Apps in your Blackberry Playbook. After the Installation is complete you will get the completion message. Then you can disconnect the device and run the Apps in your device.

So, now you can easily install .bar apps in your Blackberry playbook using “DDPB” from your PC. As mentioned before,  it is useful to Apps Developer and also useful sometimes if you cannot access “Blackberry World”.

But here i will talk only about two C compilers which i use in Windows 8 (64-bit) also they work for Windows 7 both 32-bit and 64-bit. They work fine for me and will also work for you too. They are as follows:

Quincy

Quincy is free open-source C++ compiler for windows. It has very easy to use Interface. You can write a program, compile and run through it.

Quincy have a features like syntax highlight. It shows the error of your program so you can easily debug them. You can download and install it from the link below.

Dev C++

Dev C++ is my favorite C++ compiler, it is developed by Bloodshed. Is is also Free software with source code available under GNU public license. It is more advanced then “Quincy” and its current version is Dev C++ 5 beta that comes with many more features like project manager, tools manager, Find and replace.

It can even run in Windows 95 with 32 MB of RAM. It will be easy to manage your large project with Dev C++.

So, you can use these compiler to compile and run C and C++ programs.

By visiting this profile you can save the photo to your computer easily. For example by using Firefox, you can right click and select View Background Image and then the photo will load and you can save it to your computer.

This method might not be good to practice if you have larger number of photos in Instagram and you want to backup them. So, here is the easier way to download them to your computer either as .zip format or exporting them to storage service like Dropbox and Amazon S3.

Here i will be sharing a list of free to use web-apps and software which will help you to backup your Instagram photos quickly and easily.

1) Instaport.me: Using this site you can easily backup your photos as a .zip file into computer. No sign-up required(This is what i love, so will you).

Just “Connect your Account” by clicking Sign In with Instagram and Under the “Choose Export Service” choose the .zip file. And now select Start Export.

Also you can find few options under the “Advanced Options”. You can select and download the photos with date range and the photos that with certain tag.

You can see there is option to export to Facebook, Flickr and RSS, which is supposed to be release soon.

2) Instagram Downloader: You can use this windows software to download and backup your Instagram photos. This software is easy to use. Just enter your Username and select the photos to download.

3) Using IFTTT Recipes to Save your Instagram photos to your Dropbox automatically: You can also backup your Instagram photos to your Dropbox directly. First of all sign-up with IFTTT(If you have not) and follow the above URL.

You will see “Active this Channels first” under that click on Active for Instagram and Authorize it. Then do same for Dropbox also. Now under the “Action”, select File URL, File name and Dropbox folder path. You can do this from drop down menu under “Instagram Ingredients”. And click “Update”.

Now whenever you post photos to instagram. This will be automatically backup to the Dropbox. Also keep in mind that this will backup the photos posted from now on wards. If you want to backup previously posted photos then you have to download them as .zip file using instaport.me and upload it to Dropbox.

Your images will be safe in Dropbox. Whenever needed you can easily download them and backup to your computer. Similarly you can try this IFTTT Recipes: Instagram Photos to Facebook.

So these are the three ways you can follow to backup your Instagram photos. You can use instaport.me to download in .zip file and IFTTT Recipes to backup photos to Dropbox automatically. Also you can use the above desktop application.

Today one of my friends asked me that he got this error(see screenshot below) while opening the Counter Strike:

My friend is using Windows 7, 64-bit OS. As i was also having the same problem few years before while i installed CS in my computer. So, i was able to solve his problem in just a few seconds.

So if you are also having the same problem above and finally have arrived to this place then you can also fix this problem. To fix this problem you have to change the compatibility mode of the game.

First of all right click on ‘Counter-Strike.exe’ and select ‘Properties’ and select ‘Compatibility’ tab. Now check the box ‘Run this Program in compatibility mode for Windows XP(Service Pack 3)’. (See the screenshot below)

Now, click on OK and try running the Counter Strike game. You will not get the Fatal error message and able to play the game.

In some cases you have to choose Windows XP (Service Pack 3) or Windows Vista then your problem could be fixed.

At this time you will have no option to listen in the loud sound. But you do not have to worry now because here is one pretty little software which can increase the volume of your music or video files by keeping the quality good.

Download Audio Amplifier

You can download this software free of cost and use it. It’s size is as low as 4.6 MB. After downloading it you can extract it and install it.

After the installation is completed. If you run the program then you will see the window like in the screenshot below:

It has a very easy user interface. You have just the option to load your desired audio and video file. In the right side you can see the “Change Volume” option and at the bottom you can see the “Amplify” button.

This free version of software works with almost all types of file formats. I have tried with .mp3, .mp4, and .mov formats and it worked well for me.

It is very easy to amplify. First of all load the desired file (can be audio or video file) by clicking “Load Audio or Video File” and now the default volume you will see in the right side in “Change Volume” box is 100%.

You can increase the volume up to 1000% and decrease to 0%. You can select your desired amount between it. Also you can lower the volume by decreasing the 100% to 50% or any amount less than 100%. Selecting 0% will mute the audio.

I had increased the volume to 200% of one video file and what i found is the quality was not degraded and only the volume was increased. Also this software does not change the content of your video. It only increase and decrease the volume of the video files.

So, this little software can be very useful to increase the low quality video files such as captured from mobile device. Also useful to decrease and mute the volume of music and video files.

So, today i have a great solution for this problem. Now you do not have to select all of your friends individually. You can do it in just one simple click.

We will use very simple method for this by installing extension in our browser.

Google Chrome extension to select all of your friends in a click

Google Chrome is my favorite web browser and i am using it for this tutorial.

First of all open Google Chrome and Download Invite all chrome extension.

And now you will see “Invite_All_for_chrome_1_25.crx” in the download bar as in the image.

Leave it as it is and navigate extension page in you chrome browser through Settings>>Tools>>Extension. Or if you are confused then paste and enter chrome://chrome/extensions/ in the address bar then you will get the extension page.

Now drag and drop that downloaded extension to this extension page. You will get message “Confirm New Extension”. Click Add and then the extension will be installed and you will greeted with welcome page.

Note: You can also drag and drop the extension to install from any folder or desktop to Google Chrome Extension page.

Now log in to your Facebook and try to invite you friends to like your Facebook Fan Page. You will see the “Select All” button in the Invite box. See the screenshot below:

If you will click on “Select All” then all of your friends will be select and you can simply click on “Submit” button. So, this simple little extension is proved to be very much useful to us.

Here in this post we use “likelo.com” to increase Facebook likes on our status as well as it works for feeds and photos. In the image below i have got 138 likes under a few minutes of posting the status.

We have four simple steps that we should follow. So the steps are as follows:

Step 1: First of all you need to allow subscriber in your Facebook account. You can do this via: Facebook subscribers tab. Then you are ready to go for next step.

Step 2: Go to likelo.com. In this website you will see “Click Here”. Click on that and you will be redirected to Xperia smart phone page, here in this page click on “Install” which is in the top right side. Then you will be redirected to the page with message “Success”.

Step 3: Now copy the URL in your browser’s address bar which look like this:

Step 4: Paste the copied token in the field of “likelo.com” which you have visited before and click on “Submit”.

Now you will see the list of your Facebook status as in the screenshot below:

Select the status of which you want to increase the likes of. Also you can increase the like of feeds and your photos of Facebook.

You can select the Feed and Photo tab and select the desired element to increase Facebook likes of your feeds and photos.

Oh yes! keep in mind that in order to increase Facebook likes, your status, photos or feed which you want to submit must be public otherwise you will get error ERROR : Non Public Privacy.

This process will take some minutes. In some case it can take little longer also. You will not get notification that Your status or photos has been liked.

The likes will come from the valid account(It seems) and you can visit the profile of the people who have liked your status.

I was only able to increase Facebook likes of my status one time per status. I think it is same for you all. I think there is no limit in the number of status.

Also you can use other sites like : likehoot.com(Also works for instagram photos), fb-autoliker.com, likermoo.com and powerlike.net. But i have not tested these sites.

Additional tips : You can also go with addmefast.com in order to increase Facebook likes of your Fan page. You can increase the YouTube video views, your website views, Google plus followers and many more but this service is not free. Either you have to buy the points or you have to earn the points such as by liking others Facebook Fan page and adding other members to circle(using Google+).

So, the above was my idea to increase Facebook likes. If you have other better and easier idea then do not forget to share with us via comments.

But now our topic is free online tools and we are talking about the way to unzip or extract zip files online. So that we do not need to download any of the above mentioned software. Using online tools is easy way to extract and archive files if you do not have software installed in your work computer or collage computer which you use rarely.

And keep it in mind that by mentioning zip file in the title, i focus on files with extension like .zip, 7z, .rar and .tar. I recommend you to install free open source software like 7-Zip in your personal computer which you use on a regular basis. So that your job will be much easier and faster.

Let me also remind you some of the disadvantages or limit of using online tools to unzip files. First thing is you have a file size limit. And second one is if you have a poor internet connection then it may take longer time to complete the task.

Now finally let’s talk about the website that allows us to extract and compress zip files online for free:

Websites that allows us to extract zip files without installing any software

1) wobzip.org
It is my one of the favorite website for extracting the zip file. It has file size limit of 200 MB.

It supports many file types including RAR,ZIP,7Z,GZ and TAR. It is easy to use just select the file you want to extract and upload it then enter the password if the file is password protected.

Then you will see the content of your files and then you can download them manually. You can also share this file with your friends via URL. Your files are kept in server for three days.

Within three days you can download or share those files. Also one most liked feature by me is you can send files directly to your Dropbox and access them later.

2) b1.org/online – It supports .b1, .zip, .rar and .7z files. It does not stores files like wobzip and deletes your files as soon as you close the page after viewing your files. So you must download them before closing the page.

Beside online archiver you can also download and install software(available for Windows, Mac, Linux and Android) in your computer so that you can also archive and extract zip files when there is no internet connection. Also if you use software then it is easier and faster.

3) openzipfile.com – This tools does not only extract/unzip file but also compress or archive file.

It currently supports zip, tar and tgz file format. This is useful if you want to archive and compress file.

4) ezyZip – Similarly by using this tool you can both Archive and Extract files. One important thing is that this tool needs JAVA installed in your machine to run.

So, by using the above four online tools you can easily extract and compress zip files. If you have any other simpler way to do this online then do not forget to share us via comment.

But in Google Chrome we do not have this options built-in. So, we use extension for Google Chrome in order to show us alert message whenever we attempt to close the browser with multiple tabs opened.

If you will read this post: “Google chrome tips and tricks” then here is the idea to restore the closed tabs of previous section. But in some cases this idea may not work.

So now we will talk about one useful Google Chrome extension which will allow us to alert when closing the multiple tabs. First of all visit the URL below and install this extension to your browser.

Chrome Toolbox(by Google) – [Chrome Extension]

Once you have Added the above extension to your browser then you will see icon in the top at the corner of the right side. Click on that icon and then select “Options”. Now you will prompted with the “Google Toolbox options” in the new tab.

Under “General options”, under “Tab” you will see Confirm before closing multiple tabs. Check that option and from now on-wards if you will try to exit chrome with multiple tabs opened then you will be prompted with the dialouge box like this:

Also this extension “Chrome Toolbox” is useful to do other tasks. For example with this you can define the short cut keys to perform several task in Google Chrome.

I hope you found the above solution much useful and easy. But now let me also introduce two other similar Google Chrome extension which can be alternative to the “Chrome Toolbox”:

1) Window Close Protector – It simply prompts with the dialogue box if you try to attempt to close the browser with multiple tabs.

2) close….Not! – This is also similar extension to prevent user to close tab/window accidentally. You can also give a try to this one.

So, by using above extensions we are able to make Google Chrome to alert us whenever we try to close browser with multiple tabs accidentally. And if you have other simpler ways then do not forget to share with us via comment.
